Eastern Dentists Insurance Company Signs Exclusive Agreement with Medical Security

Westborough, MA - Eastern Dentists Insurance Company (EDIC) has negotiated an agreement with Medical Security, a subsidiary of Medical Mutual Insurance Company of North Carolina (MMICNC), to acquire its dental professional liability insurance business. As a component of this transaction, EDIC will partner with MMIC Agency, also a subsidiary of Medical Mutual, to serve as their exclusive agent in North Carolina. Beginning with April 1st policy renewals, dentists currently insured with Medical Security will be transitioned to EDIC's dentists-only insurance coverage and enjoy enhanced value-added benefits, according to Dr. Charles Hapcook, DDS, President and CEO of EDIC.
