Red Bank, N.J. - CEO and owner of Total Financial Concepts Inc., Robert J. Tuzzo, will be the newest member of the board of directors at the Jazz Arts Project, the Red Bank N.J. non-profit organization . Mr. Tuzzo is a lifelong musician and longtime supporter of the Jazz Arts Project. As a member of the board he hopes to further assist the group in their stated mission to, "preserve, promote and perpetuate the American musical art form known as jazz."

Bob Tuzzo began performing professionally at the ripe old age of ten. Eventually the singer and drummer started to play in some of the hottest nightclubs in New Jersey. From 1972 through 1985 he and his popular trio known as FDR Drive toured and shared the same bill in variety shows and concerts with legendary bands such as The Platters, The Earls, The Belmonts and the Shirelles.

Bob left the band in the mid-80's in order to turn his focus to his career and to devote 100% of his time to the financial services industry. He is now the owner and CEO of Total Financial Concepts, Inc., a financial planning services firm located in Edison, N.J. While working in the financial industry Bob still remained close to music, working closely over the years with the board of the Jazz Arts Project. Therefore it came as little surprise when they recently asked him if he would consider joining them; an invitation that he enthusiastically accepted.

"I am very excited to be part of the Jazz Arts Project's board of directors. This will allow me to utilize my experience in the financial services industry to help grow the financial health of the organization which will ultimately perpetuate and reignite interest in this wonderful art form," said Tuzzo in commenting on being appointed to the board of the Jazz Arts Project. "I hope to bring new and fresh ideas to the organization that will help us continue to nurture the rising talent of young students interested in jazz," he added.

The Jazz Arts Project is instrumental in introducing jazz music to young students. They hold educational workshops and special programs designed especially for young students, many of whom have never seen or held a musical instrument. Jazz Arts Projects camps teach youngsters about music and get them interested in jazz in the hopes that their appreciation will help to preserve and grow this great American art form and captivate their interest for years to come.

Bob Tuzzo's experience and expertise will certainly help grow the financial arm and sponsorships of the Jazz Arts Project but from the sounds of it his role won't be limited to spreadsheets, ledgers and fund raisers.
