Celebrating Earth Day with an Infographic: Turning Trash Into Treasure

May 1st, 2013 — In honor of Earth Day on April 22nd, 2013, Fast Haul, a green junk removal and trash hauling company in the San Francisco Bay Area created an infographic to highlight 8 different examples of ways that "trash" can be turned into "treasure" by exercising just a bit of creativity. Earth Day is a global effort through which individuals and communities from around the world come together to help find solutions for man-made issues such as climate change. 2013 marked the 43rd anniversary of Earth Day.

Some examples of turning "trash" into "treasure" that Fast Haul illustrated on their infographic included utilizing old chopsticks to create a contemporary-style basket, recycling old bicycle chains to make an ultra-unique bottle opener, and altering the bottom half of an old suitcase with some bedding to turn it into a stylish canine bed.

Fast Haul is tries to recycle as close to 100% of the items picked up through their hauling services as possible. A recent customer (Barna M.) recently reviewed Fast Haul on Yelp, stating:
