About ThinkQuest NYC

ThinkQuest NYC is an award-winning program recognized by Learning and Technology Magazine and applauded by Mayor Bloomberg. ThinkQuest NYC is dedicated to teaching technological literacy to today’s students. With this new knowledge, they will be prepared to become our leaders of tomorrow. ThinkQuest NYC accomplishes this task by funding after-school programs. Through hands-on activities, coaching and presentations, students learn how to build websites about educational topics that fascinate them. At the completion of their experience, they enter our annual ThinkQuest NYC competition for a chance to gain recognition and win prizes. While students gain confidence, learn teamwork, and cultivate key technological skills, the teachers that mentor them are also provided with the necessary training, equipment and technical support to make the program successful. This year alone, ThinkQuest NYC has positively impacted the lives of over 4,000 NYC kids. Without the support of generous corporate sponsors and in-kind giving, none of that would have been possible. With your help, we can reach another 4,000 kids in 2006. For more information, please contact Debbie Harris at debegirl17@yahoo.com.
