The Refrigeration School, Inc. Announces New Campus President

The Refrigeration School, Inc. is proud to announce new Campus President, Stephen M. Malutich. Stephen M. (Steve) Malutich is Campus President of The Refrigeration School, Inc. (RSI) in Phoenix, Arizona. He is responsible for the overall successful operation of the School, to include compliance with laws and rules of the US Department of Education, accreditation criteria of the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges, and the laws and rules of the state of Arizona, as delineated by the Arizona Board for Private Postsecondary Education.

RSI presently offers diploma programs in Electrical Technologies, Refrigeration Technologies, Electro-Mechanical Technologies, and an Associate of Occupational Studies in Mechanical Maintenance Engineering. RSI also offers a continuing education course in Solar Power and Technology. Current enrollment at RSI is over 400 students.

Steve is a distinguished graduate of the US Air Force Academy and was the top graduate in the Engineering Mechanics program. He received his Master of Science degree from Columbia University where he was a Guggenheim Fellow. Steve spent 27 years on active duty with the US Air Force, where he served as an engineer, acquisition manager, educator, and commander. Key assignments include an assignment as an engineer and project manager with the Joint Cruise Missiles Project Office; a tour with the Deputy Chief of Staff for Research, Development, and Acquisition at US Air Force Headquarters in the Pentagon; a faculty assignment at the Air Command and Staff College; Division Chief on the North American Aerospace Defense Command Planning Staff; Commander of the US Air Force Officer Training School, an institution that serves as only one of three commissioning programs for the Air Force and also trained all new Air Force chaplains, judge advocates, and medical professionals; and commander of the 369th Recruiting Group, one of only four recruiting groups in Air Force Recruiting Service. The 369th Recruiting Group territory covered 17 states or partial states from Texas to North Dakota in the central US. Steve was a fully qualified Joint Specialty Officer and a member of the Defense Acquisition Corps.

Since his retirement from the Air Force in 2001, Steve has worked in the post-secondary education industry at schools offering both degree and diploma programs in business, criminal justice, information technology, graphic and web design, accounting, electronics engineering technology, aviation maintenance, and allied health.

Steve is married to the former Sandy Kreisman. They have four grown children: Jason, Daniel, Sarah, and Rachael. In his free time, Steve enjoys reading, engaging in various types of physical fitness activities, and riding motorcycles.

The Refrigeration School, Inc. has trained students for careers in technical services since 1965. Today, industry professionals train students in the fields of electro-mechanical technologies, mechanical maintenance engineering, refrigeration technologies, and solar system installation.
