Sitewire Announces Participation in Seventh Annual Baby Diaper Drive
December 02, 2005 (PRLEAP.COM) Business NewsTempe, Ariz. – December 2, 2005 – Sitewire Marketspace Solutions, an e-marketing consulting firm based in Tempe, Arizona, announces its involvement in the Seventh Annual Baby Diaper Drive to benefit families served by Homeward Bound, Arizona’s largest transitional housing provider serving homeless and domestic violence families with children throughout Maricopa County.
The goal of this year’s Baby Diaper Drive, which is being held from now until January 15, 2006, is to collect 55,000 diapers and $55,000 in emergency funds to supply an entire year’s worth of baby needs for the beneficiaries of the donations. Those served by the Baby Diaper Drive are Homeward Bound families, including displaced victims of Hurricane Katrina who have since been enrolled in the Homeward Bound program. Aside from diapers, the Baby Diaper Drive is also requesting donations of formula, wipes and emergency funds to cover other special needs such as hearing aids, speech therapy, glasses and prescriptions for the children and babies of Homeward Bound.
This is the second consecutive year that Sitewire has helped donate its time, resources and online marketing expertise to the cause. Through an internal incentive program created to encourage employees to get involved in the drive, Sitewire has set the goal of raising $2,500 in emergency funds and 7,500 diapers to contribute to Homeward Bound. "The Baby Diaper Drive has become something we look forward to every year at Sitewire. It is so rewarding to see the families whose lives are touched by what seems like so little…a box of diapers. Homeward Bound is an amazing organization with its focus on teaching women and families how to live successfully, not just how to keep on living the only way they've known how. It is truly a pleasure to be a part of it," said Sitewire employee Kimberly LaVasseur.
Homeward Bound is a 12 to 24 month program that provides comprehensive services to assist families achieve economic independence, secure long-term, safe housing and break multi-generational cycles of homelessness, welfare dependence and domestic violence. There is a 95% success rate for those families completing the program.
