Two Women's Service Charities Receive Very Jane Deal of the day

Very Jane, a leading boutique daily deal site, donated 100 women's pea coats to both the Family Support Center of Salt Lake and the Safe Harbor Crisis Center serving Davis County. The in-kind donation is valued at $7,000.

"We're so grateful to receive this donation that our clients will love," said Bonnie Peters, Executive Director of Family Support Center. "We work with many women who are trying to rebuild their lives, and having access to new, fashionable clothing can be a huge boost to their self-esteem. The donations will be very useful in the cold months for our clients who, for one reason or another, have extremely limited clothing options for job interviews and other professional engagements."

"We thank Very Jane for the winter coats for the women we serve," said Kay Card, executive director of Safe Harbor Crisis Center, "More importantly, we wish to thank them for their support that brings awareness to the insidious nature of domestic violence, and to thank our community that helps provide answers by coming together."

Very Jane works with sellers to offer unique retail and handcrafted items at a discount on their daily deal web site, veryjane.com. Due to mislabeling, Very Jane ended up with the inventory of coats and decided to make the donation.

"We felt that a donation to help women in need was one that would resonate with our customers and sellers." said Mike McEwan, CEO of Very Jane. "We appreciate the work that Family Support Center and Safe Harbor do in our community and we are happy to support their efforts."
