Dan's film racked up hundreds more views than the runner up, he did a great job getting the word out about his video. We wish Dan the best of luck and hope the winning prize – a Redrock Micro Crossover Kit - helps Dan every step of the way." – RedRock Micro

    BEST COMMERICAL/PROMOTIONAL sponsored by Cinevate
"MERBOTS, Artist Profile: Margo Mullen" by Luke Goodman

"Much like last year's APA Video Contest, the Cinevate crew had a hard time choosing a winner in this category. In the end, Luke Goodman's video, "Merbots…" was the one video that kept us smiling throughout, even after repeated viewings. The light hearted subject, artist Margo Mullen and her colorful artwork, made for easy viewing while Luke's editing and composition held our interest. We look forward to seeing more of Luke's work in the future and are confident he'll put his new Elements Camera Slider Bundle to good use!" - Cinevate

BEST MUSIC VIDEO sponsored by smallHD
"DROPFRAME - Trichome" by Oli Sansom

"Excellent use of photography skills and post production work to make 'video.' The use of lighting was particularly well executed. Elements of the video such as transitions and camera movement were original and contributed to the mood/tome of the video without distraction. The lighting and color were consistent throughout the piece. Details (especially face shots) were impressive. Sequences seemed well thought through and matched the emotion of the music." - smallHD

BEST TIME-LAPSE sponsored by eMotimo with Roberts Camera
    "MINIATURE MELBOURNE" Nathan Kaso

"At eMotimo, we are always looking for pieces that make us feel "eMotion", if you will. This piece did. The music pushed the selection along, driving the pulse of the video. A selection of imagery that allows us to steal a look into a secret miniature city full of vibrant colors and activities. The music was well composed and mixed. We had the impression that there might be a lid that could close to stop the music box, along with everyone and everything inside. Besides the music, the sound effects added to the scene creations without distractions." - eMotimo

"La Prochaine Fois" by A76 Productions

BEST AUDIO sponsored by SmartSound with Plasticase NANUK
    "THE HAND" by Monica Stevenson

"The interplay between the music and the visual was exacting and exceptionally well done. The sound the composer got (there was n ambient sound or dialogue, FX, etc., just music score) was remarkably creative, fresh and interesting throughout and was superbly produced. The dependency on the score to drive the visual, made it more important that the score be well done, and it achieved it in spades." SmartSound

Thank you to all who entered and a Special THANK YOU to our fabulous Sponsors. Without them and their generous prizes, the drive to submit would not have been there.
