July 11, 2013 - Aptamil Professional first launched their website in 2008, and in the last 12 months, the site has gained a 400%+ growth in visitors. It was initially designed to provide HCPs with professional resources such as downloadable tools, infant feeding literature to support mums in their care, and evidence-based clinical papers. In 2012, Aptamil Professional interviewed healthcare professionals and conducted a survey with health visitors, in association with the Journal of Family Health Care. The aim was to look into ways of improving the design of the existing Aptamil Professional website. The results of the survey suggested a need for easier access to relevant support and services. This has led to some significant changes to the content, as well as to the way a user experiences the site.
The new aptamilprofessional.co.uk, re-launched in April 2013 promises to provide healthcare professionals with improved functionality and fast access to a range of resources.
One of the main technical developments of the new site is that it has now been optimised for use on any web-enabled device, including smart phones and tablets, allowing healthcare professionals to access information on the site while on the move, in-between appointments, as well as in homes, with parents.
The entire contents of the site have also undergone a restructure. Information is now clearly ordered into the following topic areas: breastfeeding, bottlefeeding, allergies, infant feeding problems, weaning & toddlers, and products & services, making it simpler and faster for users to find the relevant resources. In keeping with the Aptamil Professional promise, access to the site is secured. However, users can quickly access content by simply providing a few details to confirm they are a healthcare professional. They can also choose to register their details to receive regular email updates.
Site features include:
