Adcraft Club of Detroit Honors Ten Detroit Advertising Professionals for Life Long Contributions

Detroit, Mich., July 25, 2013 – Adcraft Club of Detroit inducted ten honorees into Adcraft Hall of Fame, collectively representing years of expertise and countless milestones while serving the local Detroit business infrastructure.

"This year's distinguished honorees have significantly influenced the advertising profession of Detroit helping transform the city into an epicenter of creative and innovative thinking," said Adcraft Club of Detroit president, Sherrie Weitzman. "Their contributions continue to motivate and inspire business leaders and young professionals to build off of their momentum."

Representing one of the first creative women in the Detroit advertising scene is honoree, Marcie Brogan, former founder and CEO, Brogan & Partners; CFO, Ignite Social Media. Her contributions as part of the first wave of the Women's Movement in 1972 continue to empower women and minorities to pursue careers in advertising.

Also inducted into the Adcraft Hall of Fame this year is oldest living Adcraft member, Ed Rossman, former advertising manager and creative director, Highland Appliance. In celebration of his 100th birthday and career achievements with both Ford and General Motors, the Ed Rossman Scholarship Fund was established last year through the Adcraft Foundation.

Honorees also include Michael Browner, former executive director, marketing and media operations, General Motors; Peter Dow, former president, Campbell Ewald; Richard Hartle, former owner and president, Hartle & Associates and Hartle & Heth; James Michelson, chairman, SMZ; Richard Monley, former executive vice president, D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles; Ted Pearse, former vice president, director of sales, WDIV-TV; Ron Rose, former controller/CFO, Ron Rose Productions, Ltd.; and Jack Ryan, former EVP, General Manager, Leo Burnett.

The ceremony took place Monday, July 22 from 6-8 p.m. at the Rooftop Picnic at M@dison (1555 Broadway, Detroit, Mich. 48226).
