For years Linux users have had trouble playing online poker on their linux machines. While online poker as grown exponentially over the last few years, open source compatible poker sites have been seemingly non existant! "Online Poker rooms were so caught up with the tremendous growth they were experiencing that they forgot to include us in the fun" said self-proclaimed Linux guru Mike Jones, "it has always been a huge hastle for me to get online and practise my game, but now I have no problem" he brags proudly pointing to his screen where his pocket Kings have just taken down a significant pot.

LinuxPoker.net is a Linux online poker resource designed to help Linux users have a positive experience with online texas holdem. The website lists Linux compatible poker sites and gives detailed instructions on how Linux and Unix users should install the software. "It is great" says founder Greg Scholtan, "you can come to our site and within 5 minutes have an online poker account registered and the
software running perfectly".

http://www.LinuxPoker.net currently lists two Linux compatible poker sites, PokerRoom, the worlds second largest online poker site, and Hollywood Poker, one of the fastest growing sites in the industry. "Now that us Linux users can play online poker, who needs Windows for anything" Scholtan jokes laughingly.
