COLUMBUS—Interactive Ink, Inc. was recently awarded a General Services Administration contract, Schedule 70 (IT Products and Services), also known as a GSA contract. This makes it easier to do business with local, state and national government agencies.

GSAs are not required to do business with government agencies, however they are strongly encourage and preferred. Since being rewarded GSA contract number GS-35F-0242R, Interactive Ink has expanded their portfolio to include the Ohio Department of Health, in Columbus Ohio and Department of Defense, in Washington D.C.

“I am excited about the opportunity to work with these agencies,” said founder and owner of Interactive Ink, Kathy Rausch. “We now have an unlimited number of opportunities with the award of the GSA contract. We can offer government agencies a variety of solutions to improve their web strategies including content management, document management, knowledge management, ecommerce and email communication solutions.”

The strict guidelines that must be followed to obtain a GSA contract ensure that the companies receiving these contracts meet the highest possible standards. The application process, which can take more than six months to complete, reviews financial records, business history and interviews 15 clients or references.

“The process took us months to complete, but in the end, it was to our benefit to do so,” said Rausch. “Government agencies know we can be trusted since we have been awarded a GSA contract and will take a closer look at us when looking for a company to assist in their web application and email communication needs.
