Virtalis Announces Cyber-Anatomy Resellership

July 25, 2014 (PRLEAP.COM) Technology News
July 25, 2014 - Cyber-Anatomy has developed a number of software packages for the learning and exploration of natural anatomy and biological structures.

David Cockburn-Price, MD of Virtalis, explained: "When we saw Cyber-Anatomy running on our ActiveCube at Keele University and on the zSpace at a recent exhibition, we were deeply impressed by how vivid and full of impact its images were in stereoscopic 3D. These software packages represent a very useful addition to our portfolio, most especially in the medical and academic sectors, and run beautifully on our ActiveWall and zSpace-based ActiveDesk display systems. Now Virtual Reality (VR) as a technology has come of age, the new frontier is all about content. Cyber-Anatomy is a perfect and highly useable way of demonstrating the power of advanced visualisation in teaching and learning environments."

Cyber-Anatomy provides a realistic, immersive environment for virtual dissection and the exploration of anatomy, allowing teachers and doctors to foster their students' understanding of the human body. There are advanced images licensed from Elsevier Gray's Anatomy, as well as 25,000 cryosection images. In addition, there is Cyber-Science 3D which contains detailed anatomical models of various plants and animals, and which clearly illustrates the delicate architecture of various chemical and biological structures.
