RunnersWeb.com Internet Media Sponsor of "The Canadian' Iron Distance Triathlon, Duathlon & Relays

Terry McKinty, Vice President, Somersault Promotions (Somersault.ca), announced today in Ottawa, that RunnersWeb (RunnersWeb.com), the Ottawa based internet running and triathlon website, will be the official internet media sponsor of the inaugural "Canadian' Iron Distance Triathlon and Duathlon. This iron distance event will be held on September 3, 2005 and is building on the highly successful Canadian Half Iron Distance event held on that date for the last 4 years.



"We are really pleased to be partnering with Runnersweb, the original and foremost internet site for running, track & field and triathlon,' said Mr. McKinty, who is also Race Director of the first iron distance event in Ontario. "With a readership that has reached 1,000,000 page views per month, we see this partnership as important to spreading the word on this world class event we are hosting in Ottawa. We are especially pleased that the Runner's Web will also be associated with the 8 other events in our Eastern Ontario event series, which includes the "Ottawa Fall Colours Marathon.

The relationship will see all the official results from The Canadian and the other Somersault promotion races, being posted on the Runnersweb site, and Somersault promoting the Ottawa Athletic Club Racing Team (OACRT – OAC Racing Team.com) – a women's road racing and multisport club - which Ken founded in 1981 and the Runner's Web currently sponsors.
