After becoming a single father at 41, John Cabral who is raising a small boy found that it’s impossible to buy a home on a single income. Real Estate prices in South Florida have shot through the roof and have pretty much made sure he cannot do it alone.

He’s created Donate-A-Buck website and is hoping that visitors will donate $1 which allows them to have either a text or banner ad on the site.

John Cabral, from South Florida, say’s that he got the idea after hearing how others have done it and he’s hoping to do the same. I am not trying to make a million dollars online just enough to buy my son and me a piece of the American Dream, that of home ownership.

I figured if others were just doing it to make a million why not me, after all I am not looking to make a million dollars, just hoping to make enough to buy a home. I have had a few people already donate and am waiting to see what happens.

I have set my goal of $300,000.00 and anything above that will be donated to a charity.

"I think this will appeal to people and businesses," John commented, "as I am doing this not just to make a quick buck like the rest. I am simply trying to give my son and me a chance at a better life”

John, who works full time for a construction company who also has been raising his son since he was 1 ½ years old says that without the help of others he does not see himself ever owning a home.

This is a great idea for a good cause.
