A new website, www.epassportphoto.com, is offering US and Europeans an online service to prepare their passport photos for use on passports.

With the recent commotion over passport difficulties under new guidelines (of not smiling for example), ePassportPhoto.com allows users to bypass the perils of non-compliant photo booths and bring a novel approach to passport photos creation.

A fully working beta version of ePassportPhoto.com launched late last year and has been reported to supply a few thousands of visitors so far.

The website allows you to upload your digital photos. Then, on the second step, users can crop the image very simply; The service automatically resizes to the exact requirements. The third steps allows you to purchase the actual prints, costing less that half of the equivalent conventional service.

The user can also print the photos on their own high quality photographic paper, or choose any other online digital photo service for printing.
