Travel Planners International Announces TPI Extravaganza 2014 for October 8 - 12

September 16, 2014 - Travel Planners International, the country's premier host agency for independent travel agents, is proud to announce the details of its upcoming TPI Extravaganza 2014 celebration at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. The event will take place between Oct. 8 and 12 at this beautiful resort and promises opportunities for professional development, networking and relaxation over the four-day span.

Event highlights include seven different ship tours, Sandals certification training and a blowout farewell event at Disney's famed Hollywood Studio. Participants can choose from more than 75 training classes as well as exclusive panel discussions with travel industry executives and TPI members.

For attendees who arrive early to TPI Extravaganza 2014, two days of optional events await. On Oct. 6, early birds can participate in an exclusive tour of Royal Caribbean International Enchantment of the Seas®, one of the world's finest cruise liners. This tour will illustrate why this beautiful ship is a favorite for travelers of all ages with a wide range of interests.

On the following day, Norwegian Cruise Line opens one of its ships to TPI members as well. Attendees will want to take this opportunity to find out more about Norwegian's Freestyle Cruising, which offers guests more freedom and flexibility in a relaxed atmosphere on some of the most avant-garde ships on the seas today.

The festivities begin in earnest on Oct. 8. The day begins with an 8 a.m. breakfast and meeting session that orients attendees and provides important information about the convention's format. Beginning just after 10, attendees can experience their choice of training classes and breakout sessions. These last until 5 p.m. with a two-hour break for lunch. A special welcome event promises to dazzle at 7 p.m.

The following days offer a similar format and schedule. On Oct. 9, classes and workshops last from about 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. with time for breakfast and lunch. Between 4:15 p.m. and 6:15 p.m., Travel Planners International agents will have access to as many as 25 vendors at a special round table event.

On Oct. 10, agents can network with additional vendors and contacts at a morning trade show with more than 80 suppliers. With prize giveaways and other special perks, this is often a highlight event for attendees. Additional class and workshop time is available in the afternoon.

Structured events end at 4 p.m. to ensure that attendees can spend their evening as they see fit. Meanwhile, Oct. 11 and 12 include full days of ship tours and site tours to Disney, Universal, Seaworld and Legoland parks and Disney resorts for interested agents. A farewell event on the night of the 11th promises more special surprises for attendees.
