It’s a fact; we live in an ever changing world. Whether we are moving into a new home, or simply redecorating, we as Americans love change. After five years of creating wall murals for her clients, Patricia Buzo, owner of Patricia’s Palette Mural Studios, began to question the cost effectiveness of permanently executing a painting directly on the wall. “What if my client wants to move at some point…” she thought, “…would it become a waste of their time and money?” That's when Patricia came up with an innovative solution: tapestry murals.

Though the art of tapestry making has been around for centuries, Patricia has created a unique spin on this ancient art, creating one of a kind fine art tapestry murals, not with a needle and thread but with her paintbrush and palette! What makes tapestry murals so attractive to her clients is the fact that they can be moved to a new location while still giving the room a custom feel. For those who still prefer the look of a wall mural, Patricia offers original custom canvas murals, which are hung much in the same way as wallpaper. Examples of both tapestry and canvas murals can be viewed at her online gallery, www.Patricias-Palette.com. Patricia ships her murals worldwide with recent commissions from the Bahamas and México.

Buzo has always had a passion for the arts, and trained at some of Minnesota's finest art facilities. She began her journey when she was just 13 years old when she attended her first painting class at the Edina Art Center. As she realized her talent, she made the decision to finish high school at home, enabling her to study fine art full time. It was then that she enrolled in the Minnesota River School of Fine Art, spending the next four years studying drawing and painting. To gain more knowledge of the decorative arts she traveled to Saint Louis, Missouri to attend business and faux finishing classes at the Decorative Arts Center, as well as to Vero Beach, Florida to attend trompe l'oeil mural painting and designer wall finishes workshops from the prestigious Faux Effects Studio.

Patricia's expertise lies in decorative finishes such as fine faux effects and trompe l'oeil murals, and has most recently had the opportunity to teach trompe l'oeil, stenciling, and color theory classes in the Twin Cities area.
