Massage Leader Continues Expansion as Massage Envy Spa Tomball Opens

HOUSTON (Oct. 30, 2014) - Massage Envy Spa welcomed its 32nd Houston area location with the opening of Massage Envy Spa Tomball on Oct. 13, 2014, in the Tomball Marketplace Shopping Center. Offering therapeutic massage and facial services, the new spa is located at the intersection of FM 2920 and the Tomball Parkway (State Highway 249 Bypass) in the heart of Tomball. Owners Mack and Michelle Miller aren't new to Massage Envy Spa having opened Massage Envy Spa Teas Crossing in Conroe in November 2012. "We were members of Massage Envy Spa for several years before making the decision to become owners," said Mr. Miller.

Prior to opening their first Massage Envy spa, Mack was a corporate executive at a large global energy technology company, and Michelle was a busy mother of four. Both had long wanted to open their own business together, but a sudden, life-threatening illness in late 2008 changed their lives and their perspectives. Michelle was rushed to the emergency room and spent the next 11 days in intensive care recovering from emergency brain surgery.

"Although she ultimately made a full recovery, the shock and trauma of the event was something our family struggled with for some time," Mr. Miller explained. "Over the next year, we found that frequent therapeutic massage provided us both physical and emotional healing. For several months, we visited our local Massage Envy Spa 2-3 times each month."

After a couple of years, the Miller's decided the time was right to pursue entrepreneurial options. Wanting to focus on a business that was ethical and made peoples' lives better, they were impressed with the Massage Envy Spa concept, especially the company's vision: Better lives. Better families. Making the decision to open Massage Envy Spa locations in Conroe and Tomball was easy. The Miller's first moved to the southern Montgomery County area in 1995 and after a few years moved to the Klein area. "These communities are in our backyard, and they are growing dramatically," Mr. Miller explained.
