London Author Dedicates Book to his Media Career Mentor

December 4, 2014 - "To Sam," a new book by Jimi Disu, has been released by RoseDog Books.

"To Sam" is a compilation of Jimi Disu's "60 Minutes" interview columns published in two of Nigeria's leading newspapers, the "Vanguard" and "This Day." The book is dedicated to Nigeria's leading veteran journalist, Sam Amuka, who has been a great mentor to Jimi throughout his career.

About the Author:
Jimi Disu's experience in the media world is extensive. He has held the positions of assistant editor of the "Punch," Business Editor of the "Vanguard" newspapers, Senior Manager and Head of Corporate Affairs for the Lever Brothers in the '80s, and has worked as a media consultant to blue chip companies like Total Nigeria PLC, Phillips Project Centre, Coca-Cola, World Trade Centre, and WAMCO Industrial Gases. He also recently served as the Marketing Director of the "Compass" newspapers, and later 234Next.

Additionally, Jimi Disu has been a judge for over ten years in the famed Diamond Award for Media Excellence (DAME), the foremost annual award organ for media practitioners.

He has a wealth of experience in conducting interviews, which is manifest in his "60 Minutes" interviews published in this book.

He also does media reviews on both Channels TV (he is a regular guest on "Sunrise") and TV Continental every Saturday morning, and is scheduled to start an hourly radio interview program called "The Discourse."
