LinksToYou Survey Reveals Links "Extremely Important" in Search Placement

"The results show that the majority of website owners, marketers and webmasters are confident that links are still an important part of their online promotional strategy," said LinksToYou Director Pete Prestipino.

Of the 307 respondents, 72% believe links are "extrememly important" in gaining top search engine placement, 18% believe links are somewhat important, 7% were undecided and only 4% believed links were not important.
