Mammoth Resource Partners, Inc. is honored to announce the election of Managing Director Jeremy Jacobs to a three-year term on the Appalachian Region's Producer Advisory Group (PAG) for the Petroleum Technology Transfer Council (PTTC). Jeremy was nominated for this position by PAG member Bill Goodwin, President of the Tennessee Oil & Gas Association.

PTTC is a national industry-directed 501-C-3 organization created in 1994 as a means to transfer exploration and production technology to U.S. oil and natural gas producers. PTTC's primary funding comes from the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Fossil Energy through the Strategic Center for Natural Gas and Oil. Other funding is provided by state governments and industry.

PTTC provides this service to industry through 10 regional centers, all of which are located on the campus of a major university. The Appalachian Regional Resource Center is hosted by the National Research Center for Coal and Energy on the campus of West Virginia University.

The goal of the PTTC is three-fold: to identify and clarify producers’ needs; educate producers about technology options; and connect producers to solutions. This is accomplished through surveys, workshops and professional meetings, bringing together oil and natural gas producers, technology providers and the research community to solve problems.

“Jeremy's role will be to help us determine the technical problems currently confronting the industry in this basin, and the available technology that can solve some of these problems, “ said Douglas G. Patchen, Program Director, West Virginia University, Appalachian Basin Regional Lead Organization. “With the other PAG members he will be asked to identify and prioritize workshop topics on an annual basis, and make suggestions regarding the content of the website, and new projects that will lead to more information being made available on the website. He may also be asked to become a "Workshop Champion," a person who helps to develop a topic for a workshop and identify and recruit speakers for the workshop.”

“Mr. Jacob’s appointment to the Producer Advisory Group represents the continued advancement of our senior management to positions of responsibility on a regional and national level,” said MRP President Dr. Roger L. Cory. “Our firm feels that Jeremy has earned this appointment both through his outstanding efforts on behalf of our investors, as well as by attaining a high degree of technical knowledge within the Appalachian region which will prove to be of immense benefit to the PAG and PTTC.”
