COLUMBUS, Ohio - PriceMiner(tm) for Libraries (www.PriceMiner.com), a powerful aggregator of information to identify and price art, antiques and collectibles, will be demonstrated for the first time at the American Library Association's Mid-Winter Conference, booth 456.

The conference is set for the Gonzalez Convention Center, 200 E. Market St., in San Antonio, Texas, from Jan. 20-25 with exhibits running from Jan. 20-23.

PriceMiner(tm) for Libraries, a service of GoAntiques.com (www.GoAntiques.com) enables public, private and specialty libraries to offer their patrons access to a research database of more than 23 million records and 10 million images going back eight years and covering 5,200 categories and subcategories in art, antiques and collectibles. By simply typing in keywords of the item you wish to value, PriceMiner(tm) searches millions of records from sources such as eBay(r), TIAS.com and GoAntiques.com and presents historical pricing information, photos and descriptions for the same or similar items.

"Library patrons regularly ask for help in identifying and pricing art, antiques and collectibles," said Jim Kamnikar, president and chief executive officer of GoAntiques.com. "We tailored a version of our PriceMiner research tool to the specific needs of library users. Identification is always the first step in pricing an antique, and our 10 million images provide an unprecedented resource to users."

Searches can be organized by lowest to highest price, highest to lowest price or only items with images or for similar items.

Some libraries also offer remote access to PriceMiner(tm) for Libraries.
OHIONET, a 25-year-old non-profit library membership organization offering a variety of administrative and technical services to libraries in Ohio, West Virginia and Pennsylvania; and NEBASE, a similar organization for libraries in Nebraska, have chosen PriceMiner(tm) for Libraries as the preferred research tool for its combined 450 member libraries to use when identifying or researching prices for art, antiques and collectibles.
