Opace discusses UKITA quality approved membership

July 15, 2015 - Opace's membership is a testament to the high quality services it provides to clients locally, nationally and internationally. Opace is proud to be a UKITA Quality Mark holder.

The UK IT Association (UKITA) was established in 1999, as the private sector organisation responsible for developing a credible and thriving IT industry across the country. It formally adopted its name in 2006.

The aim of UKITA is to create region-wide support networks for ICT and e-businesses, raise the quality of services provided by ICT suppliers and raise consumer confidence through the adoption of a national Quality Mark for online products and services. The organisation has a keen focus on encouraging the growth of SMEs in the sector, through supporting them with new business ventures and projects. UKITA actively encourages its members to collaborate with each other, increasing business opportunities for all.

UKITA's Code of Conduct
Opace and all of the other members of UKITA are bound by a strict code of conduct, created by the organisation. This code of conduct is designed to protect the IT customer or client and encourage high standards of professionalism throughout the industry.

UKITA also operates its own Quality Mark scheme, of which Opace has been approved since 2011. As a registered member, Opace is able to use the QM logo and online certificate on their website and marketing materials, to show clients they have UKITA's seal of approval.

UKITA designed the Quality Mark scheme to give its members the opportunity to demonstrate their professionalism and commitment to achieving customer satisfaction.

In order to be considered for the Quality Mark, Opace had to go through a strict vetting process. This involved having their website assessed, along with three detailed project references.

The information supplied to UKITA by Opace was checked to determine a number of different factors such as whether projects are completed on time and within budget, as well as the level of customer satisfaction achieved.

Each year Opace have successfully renewed their membership as a UKITA Quality Approved member.
