Eric Kracht Becomes President of the Adcraft Club of Detroit

DETROIT, Aug. 5, 2015The Adcraft Club of Detroit, Metro Detroit's association for marketing and advertising professionals, has selected Eric Kracht as its president for the 2015-16 year. Kracht began his one-year term as president in July after moving through the ranks of the Adcraft board of directors as corporate secretary, second vice president and first vice president, following Adcraft succession policy. He was first appointed to Adcraft's board of directors in 2007 and elected to a two-year term in 2008.

"Adcraft has been a significant contributor to my professional development," Kracht said. "I'm looking forward to leading the club that has given so much to me and ensuring it continues as a resource for current and future Detroit advertising professionals."

Kracht's involvement with the club spans throughout his career with a focus on leading the club's educational programming and events as co-chair of its program and education committees. During his time on the board, his contributions included transforming Adcraft's "Advertising as a Career Symposium" into the current "AdCon" student conference as well as transitioning the "Northwood Study Program" into "AdVance," a 10-week program that provides professional development opportunities to younger Adcraft members. He also contributed to the development of Adcraft's Executive Learning Series, an on-going professional development program for Adcraft members, and the club's AdValanche ski trip.

Prior to his time on the board, Kracht spent three years on the Adcraft PM Committee, the club's social and civic arm, including one year as Chair. He also served on the Adcraft Club's Program, Membership, Roster Sales, Special Events, Centennial, Nominating and Education committees and chaired the annual Oktoberfest event for three years.

"Eric has repeatedly demonstrated strong leadership skills throughout our years working together and has contributed significantly to expanding professional development opportunities to our members," said outgoing president Phil Rzepka. "I'm confident he will continue to lead the club in the right direction and look forward to exciting developments ahead."

Kracht is currently Vice President, Sales for Fox Networks, including Fox Broadcasting, Fox Sports, FX Networks and National Geographic Channels. Previously, he was an account executive for National Geographic Channels and FX Networks. Prior to joining FOX, he spent time working for the online media solutions company, Phase2Media.

In addition to a new president, the 2015-16 board now also includes new officers and members to its 23-member board of directors. Following Adcraft succession policy, Susan Venen-Bock, Ford Motor Company is now First Vice President, Tom Talbert, Campbell Ewald is Second Vice President, Vicki Carlini, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is Corporate Secretary and Jarilyn Auger, Campbell Ewald returns as Ex-Officio Treasurer.
