(September 30, 2015) Washington, D.C. – Reaching out to over 25,000 veterans Thursday evening the VA Center of Ann Arbor achieved unprecedented outreach during its first ever live Tele-Town Hall® event. Participation for this event exceeded expectations with Average Veteran Participation just shy of 10 minutes per participant. Over the span of the hour long event, 4,651 different veterans participated. The event concluded with approximately 480 veterans still on the line.

"Using telephone town hall technology for veteran outreach is a great use of the technology, it cost effectively utilizes VA Center resources and most importantly benefits the veterans who no longer need to drive long distances to learn about benefits available to them," stated Johnny Craig, Business Development & Account Manager for Tele-Town Hall®. Over the last several months, Mr. Craig has worked with the VA Center of Ann Arbor to help them prepare for their Tele-Town Hall® event. "This has been a great project, working with the center, which has enabled the development of an outreach plan that can easily adopted by other VA Centers throughout the country," said Craig.

Tele-Town Hall® is able to provide telephone town hall events to government agencies as a registered vendor for the Federal Government (via SAM, System for Award Management).
