Karmina Palace plays Cupid with Valentine’s “romance revival” packages

MANZANILLO, Mexico (Jan. 18, 2005) – This Valentine’s Day, Manzanillo’s hottest resort plays Cupid with “romance revival” packages designed to inspire intimacy: gourmet dinners in secluded areas of the hotel and a special turn down service.

For just $80 US, couples dine under the stars on the hotel’s suspension bridge with spectacular 360-degree views of the property and Manzanillo’s distant port lights, while crashing waves provides the ultimate serenade. The intimate three-course Valentine’s dinner for two includes heart-shaped salmon tartar, beef medallions and lobster scaloppini with coriander and honey-wasabe cream sauce, and chocolate stuffed pear with pecans and cinnamon caramel. This deluxe “romance revival” package concludes with a special in-suite turn down service: a flower-petal strewn bed, chocolates on the pillow and a single red rose for your sweetie.

The 324-all suite resort also has special “Valentine’s romance tables” at two of their a la carte eateries, the Carioca international restaurant found under a soaring thatched roof overlooking the bay, and La Trattoria Italian terrace bistro set among the gardens.

Carioca’s intimate Valentine’s table sits away from the action in a secluded corner on a rocky point jutting out over the water, offering unparalleled privacy and spectacular views of the sparkling lights of the bay and twinkling stars overhead. Trattoria’s table is tucked away on an outdoor terrace with the bay and neighboring marina as a backdrop.

The “Carioca romance” package is $120 US while the “Trattoria romance” package is $60 US per couple. Both include specially decorated table settings, the Valentine’s gourmet menu and turn down service once the couple returns to their suite. And on this night of romance, there will be no interruptions as only one seating will be booked at each of these intimate settings.

For Romeos with their own action plans, Karmina lends a hand with the “Valentine’s turn down service” for just $20 US extra. The hotel also offers discounts on bubbly, including Moet & Chandon for $75 US a bottle, Dom Pérignon for $250 US, and sparkling wines from $15 US.

Registered guests may book Romance revivals directly at the hotel upon check-in or by pre-reserving with Marketing Manager Janet Martin (jmartin@karminapalace.com). Valid only Feb. 14, 2006.
