November 3, 2015 - Following its initial success, the Nordic Innovation House (NIH) in Silicon Valley is set to receive increased support from Nordic Innovation. The increased support will focus on enhancing promotion and communication, building stronger scaling programs, improving access to San Francisco accelerators and strengthening administrative and legal help.

For Nordic tech entrepreneurs considering entering the American market, the Nordic Innovation House provides a soft landing for businesses, investors and local advisors with a co-working and virtual office in the centre of it all - Silicon Valley. Through the house, Nordic businesses are given access to a community of potential investors, partners and service providers who may be the key to growing their business in the U.S.

"Nordic Innovation House has been a great inspiration for Nordic cooperation," states director of communication at Nordic Innovation, Bárdur Örn Gunnarsson, about the impact that the project has had thus far, and the potential going forward. "This success has generated interest from national institutions and other stakeholders in various locations. We need to follow up on that interest."

The project is co-funded by Nordic Innovation in partnership with the government agencies responsible for business growth within the respective Nordic countries: Innovation Norway, Vinnova, Team Finland, Innovation Center Denmark and Innovation Center Iceland.

The recent #NordicMade event in New York City sparked the interest of the Nordic stakeholders to establish a stronger collaboration in the area. Meanwhile, Nordic Innovation has signed an agreement to open a Nordic Innovation Incubator in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with additional potential location in the near future.
