Nigerian Author Publishes Children's Book

January 1, 2016 - "Pointy Panta Goes AWOL," a new book by Ekeoma Ajah, has been released by Dorrance Publishing Co., Inc.

Pointy Panta, a young, adorable porcupine with a happy, adventurous disposition is glad to be on her way to her class. Why not, today is her chance to meet the Governor, who is scheduled to visit her school.

The visit requires her class to take part in cleaning up operations, and Pointy's team is assigned the task of bagging grass cut by the other children who were to mow the lawn. Pointy, however, is disheartened to learn that she is to tie up the bags. Unable to get over the disappointment, she finds comfort under the shade of a mango tree, whereupon a gentle breeze soon lulls her to sleep.

Pointy is about to discover some important life lessons, and she does so in a hurry when she wakes up to the panicked voices of her entire class taking up her slack.
About the Author: Ekeoma Ajah is happily married and lives with her husband and three children in Lagos, Nigeria. She works in the finance industry. She has earned a Bachelor in Science, a Postgraduate Diploma in Management, an MBA, and other professional qualifications; additionally, she is currently a Level II candidate of the prestigious American-based CFA Institute.

Ekeoma admits to a longtime fascination with cartoons, animations, and children's stories. Her passion for children has driven her to spend years teaching children as a children's church teacher in her local church.
