In December 2005, TEAM International joined the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine (AmCham). The American Chamber is the leading business association in Ukraine and began operations in June of 1992 during a meeting of the American business community and the then-Ambassador of the United States of America, Roman Popadiuk. The founders saw the need for a private, non-governmental organization where companies could meet to achieve common goals in Ukraine.
Affiliated with the US Chamber of Commerce in Washington, DC and the European Association of the American Chambers of Commerce, AmCham serves two main purposes. First, it supports the member companies operating in Ukraine. Second, the Chamber actively promotes new foreign investment into Ukraine. Membership in AmCham brings the opportunity to actively and directly participate in defining, developing, discussing, and resolving issues affecting business operations and the economic climate in Ukraine.
Examples of AmCham members in the Ukraine include such well-known brands as Kvazar Micro, Bank Aval, Ostra-Kyiv, Zinteco, Cargill, Procter & Gamble, Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, General Electric, General Motors, Microsoft, Calyon Bank Ukraine, Scania, Tebodin, Siemens, and Metro Cash & Carry.
TEAM International is excited to join the American Chamber of Commerce and looks forward to working with AmCham to benefit the future of our company and Ukraine.
