WSX Hosting releases eCommerce shopping cart

WSX Hosting's shopping cart is based off osCommerce and Cre Loaded, "but does not include any of the advertisements to Cre Loaded Affiliates, or to their partners who have paid to have their advertisement included in the open source application" said Michael Desmarais of WSX Hosting.

The WSX Hosting cart also includes several contributions that are not presently included in the Cre Loaded version such as Separate Pricing Per Customer (SPPC) that allows store owners to offer several pricing levels to include dealers, distributors or wholesalers. SPPC opens up the opportunity to offer your products to several groups without needing separate websites to handle each group. The Contact_us.php IP Recorder contribution has been added and the Info System Information Pages also includes additions and fixes to offer more control over meta tags for additional content. HTTP for images have also been added which allows the store owner to use a Url to vendors images in place of an image stored on the local server.

The WSX Hosting Cart is an Open Source application, which means that you are free to modify the code to suit your needs. Because the cart is based off Cre Loaded, you are also able to add additional front-end or backend contributions, which are available free from the osCommerce website. Contributions add additional features and functionality to this Open Source application.
