FRONT ROW WINS NATIONAL KITCHEN DESIGN CONTEST

Norwalk/New Canaan, CT - (November 17, 2003) – They've done it again! Front Row Kitchens is pleased to announce that the company's custom kitchen design has been selected as the winner of The National Kitchen Design Contest sponsored by Plain & Fancy Custom Cabinetry and Bon Appetit Magazine.

Each year, Plain & Fancy Custom Cabinetry teams with Bon Appetit Magazine to honor a great Plain & Fancy custom kitchen design. Front Row Kitchens was selected as winner for the second time in the contest's history, (first, in 2001), in recognition of its unparalleled work in the kitchen design field.

The 2003 contest provided the opportunity for Plain & Fancy dealers across the country to submit photos of their best work to be judged by the marketing/creative services department of Bon Appetit Magazine. All entries were critiqued during a one month period over which judges evaluated the kitchens' overall aesthetics, as well as form and function criteria. Front Row Kitchens' winning entry was based on the company's exceptional kitchen design layout and completion of a recently installed kitchen.

As the Grand Prize, the homeowners of the winning kitchen, Ed & Gloria Flanagan of New Canaan, will receive a gourmet dinner for eight. The meal will be prepared in their prize-winning kitchen by Bon Appetit's Executive Chef, Robert Cacciola. The dinner is compliments of Plain & Fancy Custom Cabinetry and Bon Appetit, and is scheduled to take place in December.

"We are very excited to receive this prominent award for a second time,' said Matt Giardina, president of Front Row and architectural designer of the winning kitchen, "We feel fortunate to have such a prestigious publication as Bon Appetit and the high quality custom cabinetry manufacturer, Plain & Fancy, recognize our work."

Impressed by Front Row's work in a friend's kitchen, the Flanagan's sought the expertise of Front Row to tackle their own kitchen. The winning kitchen designed by Front Row Kitchens was custom made for the Flanagan's, incorporating classic elements of a French country kitchen design with modern functionality. The classic blending of timeless blue granite with custom yellow hues is balanced by modern special luxuries, such as a large island with under-counter refrigerator drawers and an under-counter dishwasher drawer.

The winning kitchen was also included in the New Canaan Cares Kitchen Tour 2003. CARES (Community Awareness Responsibility, Education, Services) is a private, not-for-profit agency dedicated to reducing substance abuse, encouraging community wellness and offering preventions education to students and families.
