Thomas Jefferson School of Law Awards Emeritus Status to Retiring Faculty

SAN DIEGO, CA, 6/4/16 - Thomas Jefferson School of Law today announced that emeritus status has been granted to 9 newly retired members of the faculty by the school's Board of Trustees.

The retired faculty members who have been awarded emeritus status include: Professor Marjorie Cohn (25 years), Professor Joy Delman (32 years), Professor A. Thomas Golden (40 years), Professor Julie Greenberg (26 years), Professor Madeline Kass (14 years), Professor Maureen Markey (26 years), Professor Richard Scott (17 years), Professor William Slomanson (39 years) and Professor Claire Wright (12 years).

Thomas Jefferson School of Law held three events celebrating and honoring the the most recently retiring faculty. The celebration began on April 7th with a Retirement Faculty Toast at the Alumni Association Mixer. On April 19th, Thomas Jefferson School of Law held a retirement luncheon for other faculty and staff to bid farewell to their colleagues. Retired faculty received handwoven gift baskets as a token of the school's appreciation. That same evening, there was a celebration dinner where retiring faculty were joined by family, loved ones, board of trustee members, alumni, faculty and staff as they received beautiful blown glass vases in appreciation for their service.

"As educators and scholars, their commitment to our students, legal education and the law community at large has been tremendous."
