Fewer that one half of all DR/BC plans work with minimal errors according to Janco
January 23, 2017 (PRLEAP.COM) Business NewsJanuary 23, 2017 - Park City UT – Janco Associates Inc. (www.e-janco.com) has just released version 8.3 of its most popular product, the Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Template. It includes business management guidelines for ransomware preparedness, a revised DR/BC Audit Program, and 18 updated electronic forms that can be used to jump start, maintain, and execute the plan. It meets all mandated compliance requirements, including US federal and state, EU, and ISO.
Janco maintains a data base of enterprises that had to activate their DR/BC plans, Janco found that less than one half of those enterprises were able to do so with limited difficulty. M. V. Janulaitis the CEO of Janco Associates, Inc. said, "Over the past three years of collecting data on the execution of a DR/BC plan, Janco has found the number of enterprise that have been able to execute their plans with limited difficulty has remained at approximately 45%. Almost Two thirds of the plans had material errors in them and over one half of all the plans were not up to date. " In addition, "We have concluded that the primary reason for this low success rate was that the plans are too difficult to maintain when they were in purely written format. For this reason, we have 18 electronic forms to alleviate this problem. Our forms can be completed via tablets and smart phones and stored on a remote cloud location." The CEO added, "With the included DR/BC Audit program, it now is easier to highlight those areas of existing plans which need work in order to guarantee success in the recovery process."
The CEO added, "3,100 enterprises in over 150 countries have selected the Janco Disaster Recovery Business Continuity Template as their product of choice."
The updates to the plan include the DR/BC Audit Program to meet the latest mandated requirements that has been updated to reflect EU, ISO, US federal and US state requirements for California and Texas; IoT audit requirements; and Social media and e-commerce factors.
