The Christmas Season May Have Ended But Charity & Giving Are Eternal for One Local Online Retailer

Local Online Retailer Goes Out to Those Cold, Tired, Wet & Hungry "It's been cold!" says CarCovers.com CEO Jonathan Volk. "So cold, in fact, that even in our office space we have had to comment on just how cold this winter has been, with all of the rainfall, there have been some very unpleasant nights." "One afternoon I asked one of my employees how can we get more of an edge for our business" (not that we aren't advertising everywhere already.)

"We wound up brainstorming and in an instant, I knew he had hit a home run when he said in order to gain more visibility we need to get out into the community. We need to show the local residents that we care and that we are for our community as well as our under-served communities. When he told me about holding a blanket giveaway for the homeless I couldn't contain myself. I immediately put the employee in charge of this project to get it organized and deployed quickly."

Those are the words of Jonathan Volk. A young and aspiring entrepreneur with a heart for helping those less fortunate. Jonathan loves his business but he loves ministry and helping others even more. In fact, the individual he hired to organize this event was once part of the under-served community himself. Jonathan gave that individual a chance and well that person's life has forever been changed. To the point that he and his wife were able to purchase their dream home nestled in the Sierra foothills near Yosemite National Forest.

Being an entrepreneur allows Jonathan to have the time and resources to help others in need. In keeping with his faith-based roots, this blanket giveaway is to help those who are unable to help themselves. Many of the underserved and homeless people in our communities live out in the harsh elements with nothing more than the clothes on their backs. Sure there are exceptions to every rule but in general, these people lead a very hard life and when someone can lend a helping hand the homeless are very appreciative.

With below average temperatures and wetter than average conditions in the forecast, the blanket giveaway is one of the best ways a company can help out those who are less fortunate.

The blanket giveaway was held on 02-25-2017 from 10 AM to 4 PM in conjunction with the Under the Bridge ministry outreach program, which is part of Harvest Church located in Concord Ca. This is where Jonathan's roots in ministry began and he could not think of a better place to start giving than right where he was raised up in the church.
