July 12, 2017 - RDX is kicking off the second half of its 2017 RDX Insights webinar series with Cloud's Hidden Impact on IT Support Organizations. Hosted by RDX's Vice President of Delivery Strategies and Technologies and 30-year technology veteran, Chris Foot, the presentation will focus on helping IT professionals better understand how the cloud will influence the way they support their organizations' database environments.Because an increasing number of organizations are considering a cloud DBMS, RDX thought a cloud-focused presentation was a strong way to start the second half of its 2017 RDX Insights series and help organizations better prepare for a cloud migration. "The rapid growth of cloud offerings is providing organizations with cost effective alternatives to on-premises systems, but switching to a cloud DBMS solution will impact how IT support personnel perform their daily responsibilities. I'll be identifying the top challenges associated with switching to a cloud environment and providing tips on how to overcome these challenges so that IT professionals can mitigate the impact a cloud migration will have on their daily operations," says Chris.
Chris will also explain the key differences between cloud and on-premises DBMS and discuss key factors organizations must consider before migrating to a cloud environment including staff training, new organizational roles, policy changes, and application design, build and change management modifications.
Cloud's Hidden Impact on IT Support Organizations will take place on Wednesday, July 19, at 2PM EDT/11 AM PDT and is free to attend. Those interested in registering may do so through the webinar's event page.
