September 21, 2017 (PRLEAP.COM) Business NewsNEW YORK – September 21, 2017– Aviation Week Network (http://www.aviationweek.com), in association with the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), has announced that nominations are open for the 2017 "Tomorrow's Engineering Leaders: The 20 Twenties" awards program.
The 20 Twenties awards recognize the future innovators and leaders of the aerospace and defense (A&D) industry. Nominees are science, technology, engineering and math students in their 20s currently enrolled in bachelor's or master's level degree programs. Award criteria are based on academic acumen, the ability to convey the value of the student's research or design projects, and contributions to the broader community. Nominations will be judged by a team of academic leaders and hiring managers from across the industry.
"Actively engaging and developing the next-generation of A&D technology talent is vital to the future of this industry," Greg Hamilton, Aviation Week Network president said. "The 20 Twenties program is a way to identify the rising stars. We are now seeking nominations from professors, deans and faculty of women and men in their 20s who are students in master's or bachelor's degree programs from around the globe who represent the best in terms of their talent, creativity and ability."
