Discover How to Plant the Seeds of Greatness at GardenBetter.com

February 08, 2006 (PRLEAP.COM) Lifestyle News
Just in time for "Plant the Seeds of Greatness Month", a new garden website, GardenBetter.com, helps gardening pros and novices, too. Whether you have some pots on a patio, a small patch of soil, or an extensive backyard, a garden is your special place to enjoy the wonders of nature with your children.

Mighty oaks, from tiny acorns grow… and the same is true with human beings. Every great person was once a tiny child, a child who was sparked to strive for excellence and reach his or her potential. Although no parent can make a child great, a parent can help a child want to be great.

It all starts with the early childhood years. Doing gardening projects with your children provides unique learning opportunities. When your children’s first garden bursts into bloom, that pride and joy of accomplishment becomes a cherished memory for a lifetime. So “plant the seeds of greatness” this month and plan some gardening projects with your children.

Stewart Silinsky, the author of GardenBetter.com, was born and raised in (where else!) the Garden State: New Jersey. He specialized in Ornamental Horticulture - that's gardening - at Cornell University. After moving to Los Angeles, Stew ran the landscape department of a prominent nursery while lecturing on garden care and became known as the “Gardener of the Stars" because of his celebrity clients. His rare combination of cold savvy gardening techniques of the Northeastern states and sub-tropical know-how of the Southwestern states, gives Stewart a unique ability to help gardeners all over the world.

A devoted husband and father, Stew enjoys gardening with his family and has developed several gardening projects specifically for children. As Stew likes to point out: “The most important thing I raise in the garden is the children.”
