Patents Infocenter - Patents Infocenter is a new website created by Alexandre Mello, 49 y, a practicing physician. Alexandre Mello jumped in the Internet bandwagon in the gopher era. In January, 1993 his bulletin board system, the Seculo 21 BBS, connected for the first time to the Internet using the UUCP protocol and start to provide Email and Usenet News to its users. He gives lectures about Internet and wrote many articles, published by brazilian magazines, like "Computers and Visual Strain" (1992), "Internet, World Data Network" (1993) and "Internet and Tourism" (1996). As a news addict he look at the RSS technology with great interest and in 2003, reading about the ongoing intelectual property "global war", start to think about merging patents and RSS newsfeeds.
