The Boston based rock act, Six Day Slide, will debut their new EP, "Held Under,' in Boston this January. They will kick off the CD release with a party at The Middle East in Cambridge, MA. This four-track CD will definitely put them in the spotlight of the Boston music scene.

‘Held Under,' was engineered, mixed, mastered and produced by the Grammy Award winning engineer/producer, John Seymour (Dave Matthews, The Mighty Mighty Bosstone's, Thursday and Bouncing Souls). All of the music and lyrics on "Held Under' were written by lead vocalist, David Fortin. The drums were tracked at Big Blue Meenie Studios in Jersey City, New Jersey, and the rest of the tracking was done at John Seymour's personal studio in Hoboken, New Jersey.

The CD Release party will be held on Friday, January 21, 2005 at the Middle East Upstairs in Cambridge, MA. The night will also include guest performances by Boston favorites Meet The Day, Labb and Big Top Vertigo. Tickets are being sold through the Middle East Box Office and all Ticketmaster locations.

Six Day Slide is a pop/rock band that was officially formed in February of 2003. They kicked off 2004 with a major label showcase in New York City. In May of 2004 they had the opportunity to open for the national act, Sister Hazel, at U-Mass Amherst. In September 2004, they played to a sold out crowd at The Middle East in Cambridge, MA. This February they will showcase for record labels once again. With ‘Held Under' to back them this time, they just may have a chance to get their foot in the door.
