As Maria made her way from Texas to Seattle, she was short on cash but long on hope. Her beautiful young daughters, Margarita and Cecilia, needed reconstructive surgery to repair their cleft lips and palates, and Maria was headed to see a specialist who may be able to perform the life-changing surgery her girls needed.

The path to a new life is never an easy one, often with its share of challenges, and Margarita's and Cecilia's story is no different.

This is a story of how hope can overcome devastation and loss and how the promise of love and family can conquer the darkest days.
