Synchronica SyncML Gateway for Exchange Introduced at Aggressive Prices

December 10, 2004 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
The Synchronica SyncML Gateway provides over-the-air synchronization of calendar, contacts, tasks, notes and Email between Microsoft Exchange and SyncML-enabled mobile phones. It can be installed behind the corporate firewall in less than 30 minutes and does not require additional software on the mobile phone or purchasing expensive devices. Instead, it simply works with the built-in SyncML clients of more than 150 mobile phones from leading vendors such as Nokia, SonyEricsson or Siemens.

Synchronica offers the SyncML Gateway at attractive prices starting as low as EUR 1.205 for a 5 user version, a 25 user version can be licensed for EUR 2.122. Additional licenses for 50, 100, 500 or 1000 users are available. A fully-functional 30-day trial can be downloaded from the Synchronica website www.synchronica.com and installed behind the corporate firewall. In addition, an online demo can be used without any software installation.

Unlike competing solutions, the Synchronica SyncML Gateway does not require a special contract with a mobile operator and simply uses standard mobile Internet access using GPRS or UMTS for synchronization. End-to-end security is guaranteed with strong SSL encryption protecting access to corporate data.

SyncML has become the dominant industry standard for mobile PIM and Email synchronization. The SyncML standard supports bi-directional synchronization of calendar, contacts, tasks, notes and Email including push-notifications. The SyncML standard is defined by the Open Mobile Alliance (OMA), the most important standards body in the mobile industry supported by all leading device manufacturers and mobile operators.

"If you have purchased a mobile phone in the last two years, there is good chance it already supports SyncML." said Carsten Brinkschulte, founder and CEO of Synchronica. Comparing the Synchronica SyncML Gateway with other solution, Brinkschulte continues "I personally think there is not a lot of room for proprietary solutions in the future. SyncML today can do what made expensive proprietary solutions such as Blackberry popular. Given the strong industry support and impressive growth-rate of SyncML-enabled mobile phones, our bet is that SyncML will make proprietary obsolete over time".

For a limited time, Synchronica offers a low-price guarantee being 30% lower than other products and a 50% rebate as a competitive upgrade for customers of competing solutions. Synchronica is currently building a reseller network offering attractive conditions for resellers. Customers and Resellers interested in receiving the special introductory promos can contact sales@synchronica.com.
