Basking in a Plains Foundation, a new book by Vyletta, has been released by Dorrance Publishing Co., Inc.

Growing up in the Georgia panhandle in the 1950s and '60s was never easy for Rexi, a black girl in a poor area. Her parents' marriage was tumultuous. Her family or her neighbors always seemed to be dealing with one hardship or another. Everyone worked hard, but it was uncommon for anyone to get ahead and move up in the world. That was just the way the world worked back then.

About the Author
Basking in a Plains Foundation is the true story of a girl dealing with the life that was dealt to her and finding the strength to carry on in the face of innumerable trials. More than that, it is the true story of a community in the Deep South, a community that, despite widespread poverty and misfortune, still looked out for each other and still came together on Sundays for worship. They didn't have much, but they did have each other. For that, they were thankful.

Basking in a Plains Foundation is a 136-page paperback with a retail price of $13.00. The ISBN is 978-1-4809-5364-2. It was published by Dorrance Publishing Co., Inc of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
