The Flushing Neighborhood Society today launched its new website dedicated to serving the neighborhood of Flushing, New York. The website resides on the url string Flushing.com and the site will provide the neighborhood with information and news targeted to local residents. The non-profit enterprise hopes to serve the ever changing needs of the dynamic local community.

The website will offer 'Breaking News', a calendar of upcoming 'Events' , a 'Classified' section for people to communicate, and a 'Directory' for business and restaurant listings to advertise. Flushing.com will provide interesting articles and commentary which will all be focused on the local neighborhood. The articles will examine and reveal the rich historical record with written detail of historical research, discovered artifacts and old photos from a bygone era. Our authors will chronicle contemporary developments in the neighborhood by reporting on news, events, and culinary reviews. The website will not only offer unique information to educate local residents about their neighborhood but also will provide guidance to the millions of worldwide tourists that visit every year.

Brian Ma, a life long resident of the neighborhood said: "the goal of the website seeks to bind the community together with a digital online presence that to date has been nonexistent in the community. I believe local residents deserve a website that represents the people and it was with that goal in mind that I decided to build a website to discuss all things that make the community so great. It was important to me that the rich history of our neighborhood would be channeled into a website that helps to share the things that make our Queens neighborhood such a great neighborhood . Once I was offered the Flushing.com domain name to represent the neighborhood, I jumped at the opportunity".

Flushing.com is a non-profit platform that seeks to tell the story of the Queens, New York neighborhood and provide timely information and news about the community.
