H.C. Starck Posts Sales Increase with New Structure

    Munich, July 3, 2019. H.C. Starck, one of the leading manufacturers of customer-specific powders and components made from technology metals and advanced ceramics, has posted a significant increase in sales for 2018. Total sales for the past fiscal year, 2018, stood at 691.7 million euros. The sales figure, which was adjusted to account for the sale during the year of the Tantalum & Niobium and Surface Technology and Ceramic Powders (STC) Divisions, rose by 23 percent, to 581.7 million euros. The most important external success factor was the positive economic environment in the end industries. Enhanced sales efforts, advances in technology and productive cost initiatives also made key contributions to this success. As of December 31, 2018, the H.C. Starck Group had about 1,600 employees worldwide.

    For the fiscal year currently in progress, H.C. Starck expects the positive trends within the individual divisions of the H.C. Starck Group to continue. This forecast is based on the investments that have been made to increase capacity and tap into new business segments.
