Congratulations to Team Sansei out of Florida with overwhelming votes for 2003 martial arts Team of the Year. Shihan Arturo Espina's Team Sansei is most known for its junior competitors. Kids like Ritchie Bichara, Josh Quartin and Jennifer Espina with strong adult competitors such as Jessica Calvino and Michael Cifre on the team.

Congratulations to ISKA World Champion Jennifer Espina for being chosen 2003 Competitor of the Year. Jennifer Espina is the current ISKA World Champion a three time World Champion and a four time National Champion.

Congratulations to World Champion Becca Ross (with votes in every category) for being selected as martial arts 2003 Role Model of the Year. Becca Ross age 12 originally studied Wing Chun Kung Fu under the tutelage of Sensei Chai Eun at Chai Karate in Ardsley, N.Y. By the time she was 5 years old she was breaking wood, sparring, and competing in tournaments on a statewide level. She received three gold medals at West Point Military Academy for point sparring, self-defense, and continuous fighting. She went on to capture first place in every N.Y. State tournament that she competed in between the ages of 6 and 7. Becca has four first place wins in the WKA World Championship Eliminations. She competed in Pisa Italy in Aug. and captured 2 silver and 3 Bronze medals. She was the only athlete to win a medal in every division she competed in. Becca received her Black Belt in American Kenpo Karate in May of 2000. She is currently training at All Star Karate in Boca Raton under the tutelage of Mr. Michael Demchak.

Congratulations to Red Dragon Karate-Diamond Bar, CA for being selected as martial arts 2003 School of the Year.
