ProStores, an eBay Company, announced it has been selected as a finalist for the Best eCommerce Solution in the 21st Annual CODiE Awards Competition conducted by the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA). ProStores is a complete e-commerce solution that enables small- and medium-sized businesses to sell products and services online.

“We are honored that ProStores has been recognized by a distinguished group of peers and experts,” said Julian Green, director of ProStores. “The ProStores product has a strong legacy and we are thrilled that it continues to be acknowledged as a product that is helping businesses succeed in the e-commerce marketplace.”

ProStores offers four tiers of e-commerce packages, from the basic ProStores Express to ProStores Business, ProStores Advanced and ProStores Enterprise. Each package enables merchants to set up a complete e-commerce store with the same features and sophistication found on the sites of larger retailers, including full shopping-cart capability with online checkout and integration with major payment gateways and shippers.

Subscription fees for ProStores sites are very affordable, starting at $6.95 a month for the Express format, with a 1.5% successful transaction fee. The Business format costs $29.95 per month, the Advanced is $74.95 and the Enterprise $249.95, each with a 0.5% transaction fee. Each progressive tier offers sellers advanced functionality and design options.

Through a combination of journalist and peer review, the CODiE Awards recognize 71 categories of outstanding products and services, as well as corporate excellence and philanthropy. This year’s 348 finalists were chosen from more than 1,026 nominations submitted by more than 500 companies.

The 2006 CODiE Awards will be presented May 16 at the Westin St. Francis Hotel, San Francisco, Calif.
