New College Website Launched!

Earlier this month, three college students with the goal of enabling more discussion between campuses across the nation announced the launch of The Campus Forum™ (http://thecampusforum.com), an online community forum for college students. The site has enjoyed steady and rapid growth, passing one thousand total posts this past weekend, and even being mentioned in other forums and sites. One member of the forum was even thanked in an article on the Jim Carrey fan website for his contributions of information, made on The Campus Forum™.

Although it is geared toward college students, The Campus Forum™ is also open to anyone interested in the subjects being discussed there. It is much an information portal as it is a place for college students to discuss issues ranging from politics to poker to trouble with homework to fraternities, sororities or any other college or non-college topic.

The site also allows students to create profiles and upload a picture. There is a private messaging service so those who have signed up can easily talk to other members. Already a number of college students have signed up and enjoyed the exciting discussions.

Alex Horton, a junior at Oregon State University, says about the new forum, "It's an incredible way to talk to and share views with other students across the nation. I love sharing my college stories; it's something that you can't do on other popular community based websites. I think it's something unique to The Campus Forum."

As time has gone on, The Campus Forum™ has continued to increase its traffic and hopes to soon have members representing each college and university in the United States. "With our constant promotion as well as the great content on the site, I see The Campus Forum™ a big player in online community field” said Vice-President of Production Simon Siegel.

The Campus Forum™ expressed their intent to cater to this expansion by providing separate areas of discussion for each college. "We plan on releasing discussion areas over 300 colleges in the coming weeks," said Sam Kretchmar, Director of Marketing for The Campus Forum™.

As President Jesse Johnson said, "Our website's logo is 'A Student's Opinion', and we are hoping that more and more students will come to know the site just as that: a place to share their opinion."
