COUNCILMEMBER BROOKS HOSTS PUBLIC WORKS TOWN HALL MEETING BRING YOUR CONCERNS TO THOSE WHO CAN HELP

March 01, 2006 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
District 6 residents are invited to bring their neighborhood concerns to the Town Hall meeting so that City of Oakland Public Works staff can take down these issues and begin to address them.

A full complement of Public Works staff will be on hand to hear from you. They will represent units within the Department such as speed bumps, traffic signs, potholes, sewers, sidewalk issues, city trees, illegal dumping, park cleanliness, and other city related maintenance and repair matters.

As Oakland’s Public Works Agency seeks to provide top quality, professional, effective and timely services to residents, Councilperson Brooks wants to ensure that District 6 residents are aware of city resources and staff members to call when in need. Don’t miss this opportunity to have your Public Works issues addressed.

This month’s Town Hall Meeting is on Saturday, March 11th from 10 am – 12 noon in the cafeteria of Frick Middle School, at 2845 64th Avenue. For more information and to R.S.V.P (requested but not required), contact the offices of Councilperson Desley Brooks at 510-238-7006 or email dbrooks@oaklandnet.com.

District 6 Town Hall meetings take place every second Saturday of the month at the same location, Frick Middle School from 10 am – 12 noon. Residents are encouraged to come, participate and learn more about issues affecting their neighborhoods.
