5th Middle East Businesswomen and Leaders Achievement Awards to be held in Dubai

Vietnamese Kim Phuc whose Photograph Made History and won the Pulitzer Prize will be the Keynote Speaker

Dubai UAE March 01, 2006

The 5th Middle East Businesswomen and Leaders Achievement Awards will be presented during a special ceremony on the 8th of March, 2006 at the Burj Al Arab, Dubai, UAE. Held annually on International Women’s Day, the awards recognize notable achievements of women professionals in Middle East business and government organizations.

The keynote speaker at the awards function will be Kim Phuc. Kim Phuc was captured on film as a young girl running down the road with her skin on fire with napalm. The photograph changed the way the world looked at the Vietnam war and in fact at all wars. The photograph was seen all over the world and later won a Pulitzer Prize. Kim Phuc’s inspiring story is one of courage and forgiveness and she will be sharing it with attendees at the women awards.

The awards will recognize and honor Middle East women for their achievements in categories such as management, information and communication technology, entrepreneurship, education, banking, media and sports.
